The new route is the sixth non-stop connection from Switzerland to the USA and complements the existing services to New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington/Dulles.
The new route from United to Chicago O'Hare will be the airline's sixth non-stop connection from Switzerland. The airline will deploy a newly configured Boeing 767-300ER with more premium seats on board. The airline will thus offer more non-stop flights and more premium seats between Switzerland and the USA than any other US carrier. The new route complements the existing services to New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington/Dulles.
The newly configured Boeing 767-300ER has 16 additional United Polaris Business Class seats - an increase of more than 50 percent of the seats, all with direct access to the aisle. This brings the total number of seats in the premium cabin to 46. The aircraft also has 22 seats in United Premium Plus, which is a premium economy cabin product that United has not yet offered in Switzerland. There are also 47 seats in Economy Plus and 52 in Economy.
